Zach Hansen
Programmer/Installer

Zach started his career in audio and video at the very young age of seven, running sound at church. After falling in love with the sound industry, he became the technical director of the Brandon PAC as a student. He has also had opportunities to set up major touring acts for various events and festivals. These experiences allowed Zach to work on many audio systems, including various line arrays and point source audio setups with a plethora of headend equipment.

Zach graduated from Lake Area Tech with degrees in both robotics/automation & electrical systems technology. He started at Mid States in 2016 and has since been a critical part of many system installations, including gyms, video conferencing spaces, video walls, and auditoriums. Many of which have all systems tied together with different protocols that make the end user interface very intuitive.

While at Mid States, Zach has attended many trainings, including Crestron certification, Dante, Q-sys, Shure, and others, allowing Zach to serve our customers better. His experience is invaluable in helping design systems from scratch or from bid specs that exceed our customer’s expectations.  While in school, Zach had computer-aided drafting classes in Solidworks, Fusion 360, and AutoCAD that aided him with drawing up blueprints for large jobs.

When Zach’s not working, you will find him running sound for musicians, riding his motorcycle, side-by-siding, or building robots from scraps with code to perform various tasks.
